Reporting to the Maintenance Operations Director, is responsible for troubleshooting electrical failures, developing and modifying PLC programs, and ensuring PLC’s are current and upgraded, across all mission foods production plants. Serves as a member of and resource to the Operational Recovery Mission (ORM) Team. Conducts hands-on training with plant personnel.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Trouble-shoots electrical related failures
- Trains plant personnel on equipment plc’s including maintenance managers, supervisors, leads and mechanics
- Develops and modifies plc programs to improve plant operations
- Ensures plants maintain adequate inventory levels of main electrical components
- Ensures compatibility of electronic components and plc’s across the plants
- Ensures plc’s are current and recommend upgrades as necessary
- Ensures all programs are kept on file for all locations
- Ensures software is available and/or upgraded as necessary at each location based on their specific plc models
- Participates in the selection of plc and electronic component vendors
- Performs other duties as required
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High School diploma, GED or equivalent required. College Degree preferred. 5 years’ experience in Maintenance with a specialty in Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) in a CPG Food manufacturing environment preferred (baking industry desired); any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience may be considered for the above. Preferred certifications include Six Sigma, TPS, ISO, TPM and Lean Manufacturing. *Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience may be considered for the above.

- Technical experience in processing or packaging of tortilla and fried products
- Bilingual (Spanish / English) preferred
- Able to travel up to 80% of the time.
