Sanitation Supervisor

Mission Foods is a growing part of a much larger, multinational organization, Gruma Corporation, and its parent company, GRUMA S.A. de C.V.

• This position is responsible for the sanitation of the entire plant. The supervisor coordinates the clean-up crew to maintain the plant clean and cleans equipment when is necessary or requested. must take the place of any absent worker or in the absence of the Sanitation Manager. Will conduct meetings with the sanitation employees and must maintain continued communication with all the departments throughout the entire plant.
• Training the sanitation workforce in safe work practices as well as developing and maintaining a safe and effective work environment.
• Train and develop Sanitation staff to properly maintain our facility to comply with food safety standards and to deliver the plant to operations within food safety parameters on time to produce product to fill our customer orders.
• Ensure that all Departmental tasks are completed on time and within budget.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations pertaining to the job duties and actions for which this employee is responsible.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred. 3 years of Sanitation experience in a manufacturing facility required. Preferably in a food/beverage environment. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory capacity or 4 years as a lead in a manufacturing environment required. *Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience may be considered for the above.

• Experience with regulatory inspections (AIB, OSHA, Military, Health Department, EPA, City & County Inspectors)
• Knowledge of chemicals used to clean and sanitize.
• Knowledge of HAZMAT
• Pest Control knowledge preferred.
• Ability to lift 50lbs.
• Ability to work in a wet environment.
• Ability to climb ladders/stairs and to work in high altitudes.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

Salary Range: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 annually plus $3,000.00 Bonus and Full Benefits Packet including:
