What are the responsibilities and job description for the Social Media Specialist position at GRUNDFOS?
Grundfos Americas is seeking a Social Media Specialist to join its Domestic Building Services (DBS) Americas Marketing team.
- Create long-term strategy and original content (for the brand and thought leaders) across multiple platforms: social media, trade media, local media, industry influencers, etc.
- Develop cohesive, high-quality, relevant content that target ideal customer segments and drive engagement. Projects include marketing materials, social media, landing pages, educational e-mails, press releases, and website copy, etc.
- Translate technical and sales-driven content into compelling, strategic short-form copy.
- Ensure consistency with content standards, brand voice, and style guides.
- Maintain multi-platform content calendar that aligns with local and global market growth strategies; create and coordinate approvals with project managers to ensure content is consistent with product launches, current campaigns, enewsletters, etc.
- Assist in building media relationships and securing meaningful coverage in trade publications.
- Provide continuous social listening, conversation monitoring, and timely and appropriate brand responses to messages on social media channels, including: questions, complaints, and inbound requests.
- Track social media trends and conversations to find opportunities to leverage internal experts and promote the brand. Monitor online sentiment/engagement regularly.
- Review and improve SEO/SEM and digital ads with agency partner.
- Partner with graphic designers to develop supporting graphics, video, and multimedia assets. Assist with digital multimedia asset creation when applicable.
- Continuously monitor, track, and report on performance of content across multiple platforms and channels. Make necessary content changes to improve performance, when necessary.
- Create and maintain monthly content calendar.
- Create and maintain monthly report to track content performance.
- Establish, maintain, and cultivate relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Superior oral and written communication skills in the English language and an ability to develop content that aligns with customer segments.
- Copywriting experience, especially in a technical environment, is a plus.
- Extremely well-organized, with excellent time management skills — able to work under tight deadlines.
- Proven success growing online marketing campaigns, multimedia techniques, and best practices across social media channels.
- Ability to work with colleagues from different countries and understand cultural and linquistic differences.
- Demonstrated initiative in researching/implementing new practices.
- Knowledge of AP style, copyediting, creative writing, content marketing best practices, social media best practices, and analytical reporting.
- Skilled at information collection and discovery; demonstrated ability to develop practical, workable solutions.
- Skilled at learning and applying new technology tools.
- Analytical skills to understand and articulate the measurement of digital campaigns. Articulate how social campaigns impact broader company business and marketing objectives.
- Highly collaborative and able to work across functions, geographies, and organizational levels to develop solutions; engage and involve key stakeholders.
- Effectively communicate needs, results, and recommendations to stakeholders across the organization.
- Excellent communicator and teammate who is comfortable working with people.
