Job Details
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the general ledger, monthly accounting close, and cash applications functions, including the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting
- Ensure the timely and accurate recording of all financial transactions
- Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and controls
- Maintain compliance with all applicable accounting and reporting standards
- Develop and implement new accounting and cash applications systems
- Work with internal and external auditors to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial reporting
- Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals
- Oversee the development and implementation of new accounting and cash applications policies and procedures
- Monitor the performance of the general ledger and cash applications functions and identify areas for improvement
- Collaborate with other departments, such as finance, operations, and IT, to ensure the smooth operation of the general ledger and cash applications functions
Minimum Qualifications:
· Strong experience using Sage 300/ Timberline Software
· Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
· Experience with general ledger and cash applications systems
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Strong organizational and time management skills
· Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
Required Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field, CPA preferred
· 10 plus years of experience in a senior accounting or finance position
· Supervisory Requirements:
· This position may include supervisory oversight of the accounting/finance team
· Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
· This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional after-hours work may be required to meet deadlines or manage crisis situations
Physical Demands:
· Employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms
· This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopier, filing cabinets and fax machines
· Occasionally required to lift or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds
· Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug/alcohol testing and participate in random testing program
· Position requires working indoors in a professional office atmosphere
· Must possess valid driver’s license
Travel:
10% expected for this position. More will be required for a hybrid work arrangement, if permitted
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $150,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
