Role Summary: This role is responsible for the accuracy of accounting for specified areas in the general ledger, including supporting cost of revenue and commissions, to include the development and documentation of processes, support the accountability for journal entries, assist account reconciliations, and analysis of variances. Duties and Responsibilities: Support the monthly financial close processes over assigned areas. Ensure changes in business operations are accurately captured in the financial results. Support accountability for journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analyses, and disclosure schedules in accordance with GTT accounting policies Assist with the documentation of policies, procedures, risks, and controls in assigned areas, as necessary Support ensuring policies, procedures, and controls are appropriately in assigned areas Assist and support Controllership focused process improvement initiatives Required Experience/Qualifications: 2-3 years of accounting work experience Experience in finance or accounting roles at public company or Big 4 accounting firm or similar experience Knowledge and technically astute with US GAAP Proficiency with MS Office Suite Time management skills / ability to prioritize workload Knowledge of accounting systems (Oracle preferred) Highly effective communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal) Sound judgment and critical thinking skills Effective time management skills with ability to meet tight deadlines Detail oriented with the ability to see the “big picture” University degree required with a preference in Finance or Accounting Desirable Experience/Qualifications: Experience in the telecommunications industry, preferred but not required CPA or equivalent preferred Hours/Travel/Shift/Working Environment(Where Applicable): The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
