Job Posting for Trust Officer at Guaranty Bank and Trust NA
The Trust Officer will perform all functions as necessary to properly administer a group of client accounts in the wealth management department. The GB&T culture is one that creates a positive environment designed to help customers achieve their financial objectives.
The candidate would contribute to the GB&T culture by performing the following duties:
Ensure that all accounts are properly administered and invested according to the trust agreement provisions and applicable federal laws and regulations.
Maintain knowledge of trust laws, rules, and statutes of regulatory agencies.
Retain client base by working to deliver the highest service and client contact standards.
Review, approve and direct daily administrative functions for assigned accounts in accordance with the governing document and/or client written requests or instructions.
Conduct annual account reviews to ensure that accounts are being administered properly and following regulatory guidelines.
Communicate with clients and prospects to continually monitor the quality and delivery of service.
Interact frequently with other members of the WM team and Executive Management in the performance of trust officer duties and continuing to develop a team culture.
Travel to branch locations and other offsite locations for client meetings as needed.
Help bring in new business for the department by cultivating and developing internal relationships with GB&T bank partners for ongoing customer introductions.
Develop new external relationships through the community and professional visibility with attorneys, accountants, etc.
Comply with all federal, state and local regulatory rules and regulations governing financial institutions, as well as all company policies and procedures.
Complete and pass all required regulatory compliance training as assigned.
Represent GB&T through involvement with community organizations and civic activities to enhance the Bank’s image.
Identify and refer business to other areas within the Bank as appropriate.
Perform other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
College degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics or equivalent is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years in a Trust Administration department or similar business experience with trust training.
Provide excellent client service and ability to resolve problems.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to exercise independent judgment consistent with department guidelines.
