What are the responsibilities and job description for the Creative Director position at Guardian Alarm Company?
**This position offers a hybrid to fully-remote work schedule**
The Creative Director uses their experience and talent to lead Guardian’s branding and visuals including digital collateral, advertising, letterhead, video, business cards, and other collateral pieces.
- Conceiving and implementing concepts, guidelines and strategies in various creative projects and overseeing them to completion.
- Lead brainstorming/creative sessions to generate ideas.
- Gathers the materials necessary to understand the project and competition in the area such as literature or previous marketing campaigns; analyzes these materials to determine the most effective communications technique.
- Based on assessment, drafts and proposes communications campaigns, which may include social and online media, print media, direct mail, and other multimedia.
- Presents design ideas and recommendations to VP of Marketing, Direct Reports, or sales team.
- Revise content and presentations, approve/reject ideas, provide feedback to the team
- Creates and coordinates multimedia packages.
- Schedules and develops filming scripts and production.
- Evaluates success of campaigns when completed.
- Attends trade shows and community fairs and staffs the company booth.
- Collaborating with IT developers in aligning visual designs with website functionalities.
- Developing prototypes to uniformly integrate logos and brand images to other products and platforms, including social media.
- Keep track of advancements in visual design technologies and applications, as well as industry trends.
- Paint by hand and use drawing applications to design original graphics
- Apply sketching techniques, like gradients and contrasts to enhance digital images
- Ability to manage Guardian’s website design including revising both HTML and CSS formats.
- Brainstorm new ideas, layouts and graphics
Required Skills, Experience, Knowledge & Education:
- Proven experience as a creative director or in a similar creative role
- Hands-on experience in creative process, marketing, graphic design and brand development
- Excellent working knowledge of software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere, etc.
- Exemplary interpersonal and analytical abilities
- Organized with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently on an assignment.
- Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team.
- Bachelor’s degree required; major or significant coursework in Art, Graphic Design, or related disciplines highly preferred.
- Proven work experience as a Creative Director, UI Designer or similar role
- Hands-on experience with image editing software
