Position Summary:
The Dietary Aide is responsible for performing cleaning duties in the kitchen, dining room, dishwashing area and on kitchen equipment. Assists with setting up trays, serving meals and beverages to residents. Assists with food preparation and provides assistance to the First and Second Cooks as needed. The Dietary Aide may also assist in unloading food carts, and in the general cleaning of the dining room. Services are provided in accordance with the mission of Guardian Angels Care Center and in compliance with existing rules and regulations.
Schedule:
- 3:30-7:30PM Schedule
- Part-Time position, scheduled 28 Hours every pay period.
- Includes every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday) and holiday.
Responsibilities:
- Performs cleaning duties in the kitchen, dining room, dishwashing area and on kitchen equipment.
- Provide assistance to the First and Second Cooks as needed.
- Assists with setting up trays, serving meals and beverages to residents.
- Performs some food preparation as needed.
- Performs dish washing duties and assists with unloading food carts.
- Assist in providing a dignified, respectful, resident-centered environment for residents.
- Follow universal precautions, facility infection control guidelines, sanitation and safety standards of practice in all work and activities.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 16 years of age or older.
- Must have excellent verbal and written (read and write) communication skills.
- Must be self-motivated, with ability to organize and prioritize.
- Maintains good attendance and punctuality.
