Guardian Glass is looking for a Process Engineer to join our team in Richburg, SC.
We are looking for a Process Engineer to be part of the Coater team and provide knowledge and troubleshooting skills for Thin Film Coated glass production processes.

What You Will Do
- Provide production support and troubleshoot coating and vacuum issues
- Lead daily efforts to optimize production, improve yields, increase machine up-time and lower costs
- Design and conduct experiments testing to refine manufacturing processes, reduce variation, improve quality and improve efficiency
- Ensure manufacturing capability is developed and prepared for new technologies
- Monitor and analysis Thin Film products to detect and resolve process abnormalities
- Troubleshoot process upsets, monitor coating performance against design, and provide engineering support to manufacturing when requested
- Review and enhance existing processes to improve yield, cycle time, quality, cost and eliminate waste
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including process flow diagrams, operating procedures, and work instructions
- Calibrate and troubleshoot QC equipment and In-line Optical measurement systems
- Identify and analyze the causes of deviations and interventions in production, and develop action plans to avoid recurrences
- Provide technical support to interface areas in a 24/7 plant operation
- Carry out studies and analysis of projects aimed at operational excellence
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Process or Manufacturing Engineer experience in a manufacturing environment
- Bachelor's degree in Physics, Chemistry, Optical Engineering, Materials Science or a related discipline
What Will Put You Ahead
- Thin Film or Optical Coating experience
- Statistical process control knowledge
