What You Will Do *:
Lead teams to grow sustainability consulting and deliver meaningful change to our clients.
Our team - Resilience, ESG and Disaster Recovery - works with companies and government agencies to achieve sustainability, including deep decarbonization, climate resilience and positive social impact. We help clients navigate the complex world of climate change, climate regulation, shifting consumer preferences, and the energy transition to achieve sustainable and profitable products, processes, business models and services. We apply leading frameworks such as Science-Based and Net-Zero Targets, ESG, and TCFD, and create innovative digital, programmatic, and financial solutions with our clients. Our team supports all Guidehouse's segments, including financial services, energy providers, life sciences and government.
Our Climate & ESG-Managing Consultants provide wide-ranging support for client engagements. They organize their own and team's tasks and schedules, working on multiple projects simultaneously. They manage project teams including responsibility for client communications, project schedule and deliverables, division of labor, architecting analyses, team dynamics. They are responsible for developing teams and individuals through coaching and feedback and always promote a culture of excellence.
- Tailor our decarbonization and sustainability offerings to specific clients
- Provide content expertise and corporate insights on a daily basis
- Lead project teams on engagements in partnership with Directors
- Be active in the delivery of projects (we are looking for team players who roll up their sleeves and work with teams, not people who just want to 'direct')
- Develop internal network to pull in resources from across our global team and across market teams (e.g., with Energy Providers and Public Sector)
- Build and maintain relationships with clients
- Publish a blog per quarter to keep a strong external profile
- Stay up to date on topics relevant to clients (especially on topics related to sustainability and agriculture, F&B, apparel)
- Be active on a local or global internal initiative to contribute to the team and culture, be a role model for consultants
What You Will Need *:
They demonstrate advanced technical and subject matter capability and continue to gain credentials that are recognized and valued at our company and within the industry. They actively support key pieces of business development, sales activities, and identifying new business development opportunities both within and outside client engagements. Participation in industry and networking events is expected and encouraged. Work may be remote or involve extended times at the client site, depending on the engagement.
- Master's/MBA or higher
- 5 years plus of relevant experience excluding Internships, Co-ops, and Research Fellowships.
- Experience in the energy/sustainability/ESG space
- Ability to lead teams to create executive level presentations with insight and impact
- Corporate environments (we are looking for someone who understands the key functions of and dynamics between different departments, and how to develop relationships across them to meet sustainability objectives)
- GHG and climate topics (we are looking for someone who understand the key policies, protocols and standards in this field)
- Fluency in English
- Agility in presentation storyboarding and development
- Strong communication skills withing the project team and at board level
- Clarity in business writing
- Ability to lay out an analytical project approach and carry it forward with a team
- Demonstrated success working within high performing teams

- Experience in consulting, especially at a large firm excluding internships, co-ops and fellowships
- Ability to oversee data-heavy work
- Public Sector Sustainability Experience

- PMP certification
- Additional languages (e.g., Spanish and Portuguese)
- Familiarity with and demonstrable experience in one or more of the following:
- Sustainability (e.g., greenhouse gas accounting standards, circular economy, abatement strategies, ESG)
- Climate risk, resilience, and adaptation (e.g., TCFD)
- ESG, social equity and environmental justice
- Energy (e.g., hydrogen economy, advanced energy technologies, electricity power and gas industries)
- Environmental and sustainability policy appraisal
- Risk management, accounting, economic and financial impact analysis
- Innovation (e.g., advancement of new ideas and technologies)
The annual salary range for this position is $98,400.00-$196,900.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
