As a GuidePoint Security Project Manager you are managing a unique portfolio of security focused Professional Services engagements which directly contribute to our client's goals and success. This is a remote/virtual position working for a home office with possible travel (up to 10%). This position may also require serving as a client side billable resource for Project Management service delivery.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Plan and define projects, and collaborate with various teams.
- Communicate with PMO and Practice Leadership weekly regarding status updates and strategies.
- Provide leadership and direction to cross-functional project teams, comprised of Engineers, Architects, and project sponsors.
- Work with Architects & Engineers to develop project roadmaps, cutover / implementation plans, and As-Built documentation
- Responsible for communication including status of project health and ensures project is delivered within schedule and scope.
- Responsible for risk management and escalation of issues that cannot be resolved in the team.
- Consult with stakeholders to gather and document requirements and specifications for solutions and enhancements.
- Gather and analyze data from multiple sources. Develop reports and key risk indicators.
- Define execution plan and approach based on project scope, expected timeline and available budget/resources
- Manage a combination of Waterfall and Agile-based development efforts from initial analysis and design to development, testing, deployment, and maintenance
- Manage day-to-day operations of the program responsible for monitoring and maximizing key cost, schedule, and performance metrics
- Ensure pre-defined project management processes and practices are followed. Drive simplification and improvement as necessary
- Ensure quality of deliverables is verified and matching stakeholder expectations
- Track project outcomes realization and customer satisfaction levels through established metrics against service level. Ensure lessons learned are collected
- High technical acumen - ability to learn various project management apps in a short amount of time (Jira, Confluence, GSuite, Slack, OpenAir, etc.)
Experience Requirements:
- Bachelors in Business or Computer Science Required
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a mix of Business Analyst, Project Coordinator, Project Manager, or Cyber Engineer Roles
- Experience with AppSec and Vulnerability Management Highly Preferred
- Minimum of 2 years experience in Cybersecurity, and/or SaaS
