Job Description Brewery QA/QC Technician Isle Brewers Guild, LLC – Pawtucket, RI

Isle Brewers Guild is hiring a QA/QC Technician, who is responsible for performing daily quality checks, taking samples for lab analysis, and reviewing quality documents across all operational departments in a high-volume craft brewery. This person will be highly detail oriented, organized and possess a lab background. This is an entry level position that reports to the QA Supervisor and works closely with the Quality Associate. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

 Perform lab duties, including yeast cell counting, micro plating, forced fermentation and sterile sampling

 Operate QA equipment to complete start-up and periodic measurements during packaging runs  Monitor ongoing QC issues or concerns  Manage cold and warm retain rotation program  Organize weekly sensory tastings and compile resulting data  Elevate any quality concerns to Quality Supervisor  Audit QA documents daily in brewing, cellar, and packaging departments  Create or modify QA documents to improve tracking and  Be a positive, professional collaborator who is able to work well with other departments and with Isle Brewers’ multiple brewing partners. (yes, a people person)

Requirements:  Bachelor of Science Degree and lab experience preferred.  Proactive approach to problem solving and troubleshooting.  Demonstrated ability to be successful in a collaborative team environment.  Proficient with computer systems including MS software and Google programs.

Special Requirements:  Ability to endure on a daily basis, extensive walking, standing, kneeling, crouching, and lifting (excess of 60lbs)  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time, climb flights of stairs, work from elevated areas, and wear a respirator and/or hearing protection when required by the job.  Tolerate summer/winter temperature conditions and Hot and Cold room environment  To be considered for this position, send resume and cover letter to Isle Brewers Guild, LLC., an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to workforce diversity.
