Salary Range: $21.00 to $24.00
Purpose:
The Housing Subsidy Coordinator position is responsible to manage the subsidy funds that pay rent for our Rapid Rehousing clients. The role works closely with the team's Program Supervisor, Case Managers, and Guild's Accounting department to ensure we maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations and accurately complete required subsidy documentation.
This role is essential in the team's ability to deliver high quality services to clients and provide an exceptional partnership experience to rental properties in Dakota County.
Key Responsibilities:
- Treat all clients with dignity and respect, providing services that are respectful of age, gender, and culture.
- Hold briefings with participants on the rules of the program when they are new to a housing subsidy.
- Provide support to participants and team members by helping them fill out forms, make phone calls, and/or coach them through housing activities.
- Enroll new subsidy clients into subsidy database. Maintain accuracy of records as required.
- Ensure annual re-certifications for subsidy participants are completed as required. Includes income verification, updating contracts and acquiring signatures of participants and property representatives, as well as updates to Delancey Rents and Co-Pilot.
- Prepare, duplicate, and distribute housing documents/contracts as needed.
- Coordinate new unit and annual housing inspections and ensure completion. Prepare required documentation and attach to invoices received from outsourced inspectors. Coordinate move-in dates.
- Perform Initial and Annual file reviews of all housing files to ensure all documentation is received.

Ability to:
- Meet deadlines and prioritize competing activities.
- Identify the essential factors in a situation and implement an appropriate solution.
- Easily establish rapport with participants who live within a culture of poverty, have a mental illness, and/or a chemical health issue, and who may be homeless.
- Protect confidentiality of agency, personnel information, and client data.
- Take a task start to finish and follow up with others to assure the task is complete.
Education and Experiences:
- High school diploma or equivalent with two years of administrative/coordination experience.
Or
Associate degree in a related field and one year of administrative/coordination experience.
Preferred:
- Experience working with the homeless population (paid or volunteer).
