POSITION SUMMARY

The Inventory Control Associate role is a high-volume position that will be an integral part of the Operations Inventory Control group. Providing support and training to our store employees is our priority. The ideal candidate will be ambitious in nature, detail-oriented, and have a whatever-it-takes attitude to take the job to the next level. We are looking for an individual with a winning attitude, outstanding work ethic, and great communication skills. This individual will be working and communicating closely with Support Center, Distribution Centers, Store employees, as well as the Transportation team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Major responsibilities of the position are listed below. To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to execute each essential duty satisfactorily. • Provide support for the stores with all inventory needs and requests, including but not limited to cycle counts, multi-channel issues, researching sales ticket issues, missing and overages in gear, DC variances, delivery issues, operations process, Loss prevention
• Oversee, maintain, research and resolve all inventory issues
• Provide operational training, guidance and support for store personnel and other departments at the Support Center Call Centers and DCs.
• Daily, monthly and year-end accounting for shrink accounts.
• Travel may occasionally be required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's Degree (or 2 years of equivalent work experience), preferably in Business or related field
• At least 2 years of experience within Guitar Center Retail Operations
• With 1 year of experience as in store Guitar Center Operations or sales
• A complete understanding of the stores day to day operations is required.
• Operations experience is strongly preferred
• Experience including, but not limited to: using multi-channel, cycle counting, store reports, shipping & receiving, repairs, dotcom processing, and general sales processing
• At least 2 years of Green Screen/POS system experience is required
• Versed in Microsoft Suite of programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
• Intermediate Proficiency using Microsoft Excel (building basic formulas, pivot tables, and v-lookups) is strongly preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must
• Ability to train the store employees and offer support in all areas of store operations via phone, email or in person.
• Able to interact with professionals at all levels within and outside the organization
• Strong organization, interpersonal and people management skills

• -starter, able to take on and complete tasks often by the deadline

Pay Rate: $17.00- $20.00/hr depending on background and experience.
