General Overview: Our organization responds to sexual assault medical exams 24/7/365. Our organization also serves 6 additional counties to the east in Circuit 14, however this position primarily focuses on Circuit 1. When responding to a call out, SANE Nurses will be accompanied by a victim advocate. Nurses are asked to respond as soon as possible and must be willing to leave their home location within one hour to report to the assigned location.
Please note, most sexual assaults happen at night and on weekends. Our greatest need for on-call response time falls during busy seasons, late nights, early mornings, and when our staff nurse is unavailable.
