Job Posting for Direct Service Worker (DSW) at Gulf Coast Social Services - HOUMA
The Houma regional office is seeking a Direct Service Worker to work with individuals in the Chauvin area and the surrounding Parish with daily living tasks. Services will be rendered in the client’s home and in the community. The Direct Service Worker will need to be available for days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holiday shifts as required by the supervisor.
This position requires a high school diploma/GED/trade school diploma in the area of human services, and a minimum of 18 years of age. This position requires a sincere interest in working with and helping individuals reach their maximum potential. This position requires an individual with good reading and writing skills along with the qualities of patience, empathy, dependability, and the ability to teach others. The ability to handle multiple responsibilities with accuracy and the ability to accept direction from supervisor required.
Applicant must have a valid form of identification. EOE.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $9.00 per hour
