What are the responsibilities and job description for the ICU/Intermediate Care Technician position at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists?
Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists is looking for a team member to join our ICU and intermediate care ward! This position for a veterinary technician or LVT starts with patient care and then teaches you advanced skills and techniques you can only learn at a specialty clinic!
The ICU and IMC department manages hospitalized patients for all the departments in the hospital. This position requires some cross-training across several of the departments including lab, radiology, and emergency. The position is for a veterinary assistant or LVT to fill a position in our fast-paced, cutting-edge practice. The candidate must be able to work in a team environment, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and be adaptable to quickly evolving situations. The main job duties include patient care, medical dosing, phlebotomy, fluid therapy, and patient monitoring.
Shifts Available: Full-Time Overnight 6p-7a3 days a week with rotating weekends. We do not offer part-time positions in our department.

Required education: High school or equivalent
Preferred education: CVA, AAS, or LVT. Equivalent years in the field also acceptable.
Preferred experience: experienced technician
