Pay Rate
The hourly range is from $25.74 to $29.31, depending on experience, plus full benefits.

Requirements
- Must possess a valid Colorado driver’s license.
- Must complete ICS 100 and ICS 700 within the first year of employment.
- Willingness to obtain Class B CDL.
- Willingness to obtain flagger certification.
- Willingness to participate in and complete certification for MSHA Part 46.
- Willingness to take and successfully complete a First Aid class, CPR class, and other specialized or safety training that may be offered by the Public Works Department or other training facility.
- Graduation from high school or GED equivalent plus some specialized training in mechanics, maintenance management or a closely related field.
- Five (5) years of related experience, or
- Any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to do the job.
- Considerable knowledge of gas and diesel engines, transmissions, and electrical systems; working knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions common to County maintenance and repair activities; working knowledge of the practices, methods, materials and tools used in modern equipment maintenance and diagnosis.
- Skill in operation of listed tools and equipment that is to be repaired.
- Ability to maintain effective preventative maintenance programs, policies and procedure; ability to carry out assigned projects to their completion; ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, supervisor, vendors and the public.
