About the Position:
A Beach Bartender will make and serve consistent cocktails while guiding the guest through their experience with grace, charm, and warm hospitality. Bartenders are required to learn the cocktail recipes and build every cocktail on Gurney’s Resorts cocktail menu to spec. A thorough understanding of spirits is required and learning about the individual products we offer is also a must. Bartenders perform duties in a pleasant, conscientious, fun, energetic, and professional manner to ensure guest satisfaction.

Your Responsibilities:
- Prepare all drinks as ordered to the standards set forth by Gurney’s
- Adept knowledge of all signature drinks and Wine by the Glass
- Use of various stemware and glassware aligned to correct drink as per Gurney’s standards
- Describe various food dishes to guests
- Ensures proper set-up and break-down of Beach Bar, as needed. Adheres to maintenance, cleanliness and sanitation standards.
- Serves food to guests, when necessary, that order from the bar
- Assists to keep entire bar area clean and organized
- Provide engaged, friendly and attentive customer service to all guests inclusive of eye contact, respectable conversation and smiling
- Participate in monthly inventory checks
- Practice highest regards for safety within all areas and with all materials
- Follow and adhere to all standards set forth by the Board of Health and appropriate Federal/State Liquor Control Boards
- Performs other related activities as assigned
- Open availability (able to work weekends, nights, days and holidays)
- Minimum three (3) years’ work-related experience
- High School Diploma, or equivalent level of education, required (Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to read, speak and interpret documents in clear English. Ability to communicate in secondary language is a plus.
- Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space and to reach other locations of the area in a timely basis.
- Must be able to multi-task and manage in high volume, and high stress environments. Posses a “roll up your sleeves” attitude
- Must have manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
- Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, and stretch. Can frequently lift up to 30 pounds, as well as work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours).
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule. (Including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays)
