Medical Records Specialist

Guster Law Firm is a Birmingham, AL based personal injury law firm founded by Attorney Eric Guster in 2002.

Guster Law assist clients with injuries from automobile accidents, motorcycle accidents, tractor trailer wrecks, and other types of injuries. Assisting clients with high quality service is a main focus of this firm.

We are opening multiple locations in 2024 & 2025, and are hiring, training, and staffing great team members for that growth. Our main office is located at 9964 Parkway East Birmingham, AL 35215. We are opening a new location in Five Points West Summer 2024.

Job Summary:
We are seeking detail-oriented and organized Medical Records Specialists to join our team.

Minimum 2 years experience ordering, preparing, or retrieving medical records is required. A customer service or legal office background is a plus.

Responsibilities:
- Order, evaluate, and summarize medical records of clients.

-Notate files regarding communications and actions.

- Call, email, and text clients with updates on their personal injury claims

-Work with Attorney Guster and the team in accurately and efficiently resolving cases for clients.

Skills:
- Proficient in medical records management and documentation
- Knowledge of medical terminology and coding systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in using computer software applications
