Sales Associate

Title: Full and Part Time Sales Associates
Reports To: General Manager

Sales Associates work flexible hours and provide excellent customer service to generate strong sales results supporting the achievement of overall company sales plans. Sales Associates play a play a key role in solidifying our excellent reputation as a service-oriented store.

Key Responsibilities

 Greet and approach customers in a prompt and friendly manner to determine type of merchandise desired.

 Display merchandise, suggest selections that meet customer’s needs, and emphasize selling points of merchandise such as quality and utility.

 Maintain product knowledge awareness by attending training classes and by reading product knowledge literature.

 Assist customer in selecting items in additional to complimentary items to go with their purchase.

 Process transactions on Point-of-Sale terminal following prescribed procedures. Receive payment or obtains credit authorization.

 Place new merchandise on display. Ensure maintenance of merchandise standards.

 Participate in physical inventory of stock as requested.

 Participate in processing, ticketing of merchandise as requested.

 Obtain merchandise from stockroom; fill in stock as needed.

Skill Requirements

 Enthusiastic and outgoing personality.

 Ability to effectively communicate with customers and other employees.

 Work well in a team environment.

 Ability to move medium to large items weighing up to 50 lbs.

 Previous sales experience preferred.
