THE ROLE – FITNESS EQUIPMENT INSTALLER
We are searching for a Fitness Equipment Installer who will thrive in a fast-paced independent work environment. As a Gym-Worx installer, you will be on the front line of helping us maintain our reputation as best in class repair, maintenance and installation service provider to our customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS
- Drives company-owned vehicle
- Loads and unloads truck with fitness equipment using pallet jacks and/or a forklift
- Transports fitness equipment to installation site
- Required to manipulate and lift awkward or heavy equipment
- Responds to customers’ needs in a friendly, supportive, and timely manner
- Communicates job progress in a timely fashion to supervisor and customers
- Communicates clearly both orally and in writing
- Completes installation reports in a clear and precise manner
- Uses every opportunity to promote Gym-Worx to existing and potential customers
- Experience moving and/or installing fitness equipment is preferred, but not required. Full training provided.
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Minimum 3-years of experience moving and/or installing equipment. Fitness equipment installation experience is a PLUS.
- 2-3 years experience driving 26ft box truck
- Ability to comfortably lift at least 75lbs
- The basic knowledge of tools
- Good communication skills to earn customer’s rating of excellent customer service
- Strong work ethic and reliable performance in reporting on time to various customer locations
- A clean and valid driver’s license with the patience and ability to drive long distances when required. CDL is a PLUS.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
