GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (GZA) is growing, and our corporate Finance department is expanding! We are currently seeking a Payroll & Accounting Specialist to join our Finance team. This position is located in GZA’s corporate office in Norwood, MA and has opportunity for a hybrid schedule.

What you will be doing:
- Payroll Responsibilities (50%):
- Review and post timesheets in Deltek Vision timekeeping system on a weekly basis.
- Process bi-weekly payroll in UKG Pro.
- Maintain, update, and verify the accuracy of employee information in Deltek Vision and UKG Pro.
- Submit bi-weekly 401k information and payments to 401k provider.
- Participate in month-end close process, including preparation of payroll journal entries, supporting schedules, and balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Resolve employee matters involving payroll.
- Accounting Responsibilities (50%):
- Assist with the review and approval of weekly vendor payment run.
- Assist with management and compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Coordinate with third-party accounting firm on external audit and tax compliance matters.
- Support the accounting department with special projects as requested.

What you will be brining:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance/equivalent experience.
- Five plus years of related experience, preferably in a project oriented professional services firm.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Solid interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
- Previous experience using UKG Pro and Deltek Vision software preferred.
