Overview
Materials Division of H&K Group, Inc., is looking for a Floating Weighmaster for their Southern Pennsylvania Quarries. The Weighmaster tallies quarry products by and from workers, for production control purposes, and dispatches materials on a day-to-day basis. This position will support our partners and divisions throughout Bucks, Montgomery, Berks, and Lehigh Counties in Pennsylvania and Susex County in Delaware, and my grow to include Schuylkill, Luzerne, and Monroe Counties in Pennsylvania based on project need. The ideal candidate is flexible, detail oriented, with strong business acumen, problem solving, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs all work according to MSHA and H&K Safety policies
- Weighs trucks loaded with crushed stone and/or asphalt products and issues weigh slips to drivers.
- Keeps track of material totals to different jobs.
- Computes and records totals of tallied figures.
- Examines and sorts items tallied.
- Moves tallied items to storage, shipping, or production areas.
- Takes orders from contractors and private customers for crushed stone.
- Dispatches truck to job sites.
- Communicates with material suppliers, laborers, operators, and supervisors with job concerns.
- Provides excellent customer service with a positive attitude to both internal and external customers.
- Keeps track of traffic and weather conditions affecting schedules.
- Monitors petty cash.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required Skills, Education, and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) from an accredited educational institution OR a month of related experience and/or training
- Equivalent combination of education & experience may be considered
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Basic Microsoft Office skills (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Reliable transportation to travel to regional quarries
- Valid Driver License and good driving record
- Able to work a flexible work schedule
- Attention to detail
- Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
- Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)
Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience
- State Weighmaster’s license
- Previous scalehouse experience
- OSHA, MSHA, or other relevant safety certifications
