Moffitt Cancer Center Research EHS is recruiting for a Glasswash Assistant Lead in Tampa, FL.
Position Highlights:
The Glass Wash Assistant Lead oversees all glass wash functions to ensure compliance according to established protocols that include maintaining lab ware cleaning, sterilizing, utilizing glassware washing instruments, conveyor loading systems and autoclaves, and high temperature ovens in the glass wash facilities. The Lead Assistant has day-to-day oversight, planning, coordinating, developing, inspection, and reporting responsibilities for the glass wash team.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Glass Wash or other experience in a Research Environment desired
- Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions
- Must be able to document and report daily activities
- Ability to multi-task and effective use of time is required
Responsibilities:
- Performing standard and custom glassware cleaning and sterilization procedures utilizing manual and automated equipment and techniques such as specialty cleaning baths and scientific cleaning instrumentation.
- Leads lab coat laundering collection, delivery, inventory, assignment, and return for Research
- Ensures supplies including fixer & developer, wash fluids, absorbents, and validation materials are kept on hand and delivered to dark rooms, labs, and in Glass Wash when needed.
- Handles equipment and work requests for Glass Wash to maintain a functional fleet capable of meeting target turnaround times.
- Reports to Manager of Research EHS and other internal stakeholders on a regular basis.
Credentials and Qualifications:
- Associate 's Degree
- Two years of work experience with progressive responsibility.
- Experience in a lab environment which can be satisfied by work or academic experience.

Schedule: Full Time, Day Shift, 8am-4:30pm
