What are the responsibilities and job description for the Global Flagship Store Visual Manager position at H&M?
Responsible for driving the store visually and taking local
ownership of visual presentation in a flagship store keeping in mind efficiency,
maximizing sales to drive profitability, following routines and keeping People first.
Leads, manages, and organizes the visuals and uses discretion in making decisions solely
according to H&M’s shared values, standards, policies and procedures to achieve goals.
Job Responsibility including but not limited to:
People
Developing brand appropriate visual staff within the store which is a pride to the
Company
Responsible for developing brand appropriate top quality visuals to other stores in
the US
Oversees the ROTD function in the store for the visual staff
Monitors and leads visual staffing levels to ensure development and talent
acquisition to achieve and maintain store visual requirements
Manages and follows up with Visuals to ensure proper training and staff
assessment is being completed including K.I.C weekly for existing staff, and for
all new staff in their onboarding.
Actively manages team by regularly conducting performance assessments,
providing feedback, and setting challenging goals to improve staff performance.
Maintains an overview of the visual Employee Relations responsibilities in the
store to ensure a positive work environment at all times
Commerciality
Creates best possible local presentation for the flagship store and executes this
presentation with partnership of Store Manager, Flagship Store Manager and
District Visual Manager
Tests, executes and turns up the volume with new commercial, presentation and
styling ideas to beat the competition strengthening the H&M brand.
Flagship store should be the best example of what H&M should look like in the
US at all times.
Ensures the garment presentation, garment level and visual standards are
presented according to H&M’s expectations for a flagship store at all times
Leads in a commercial way to maximize sales, focusing on best possible
presentation of T.P.P.s, A areas, department profiling, Windows, Baskets, easy to
Find easy to buy, Signage and read thread
Ensures that all tools are considered and/or used to create the best shopping
experience.
Plans and organizes commercial/visual trainings with store management team to
make sure all staff is aware and knowledgeable of the Commercial/visual
standards
Operations
Responsible for making the visual presentation at standards to drive profit
Constantly reviews store environment and key business indicators to identify
problems, concerns, and opportunities for improvement to provide coaching and
direction to the store team to achieve visual goals.
Oversees that coaching and direction are provided to the visuals and managers to
take action and to achieve commercial goals
Ensures proper visual staff planning according to budget, SPH and store needs
Establishes, monitors and follows up on visual goals, visual plans and visual
budgets to optimize profit
Sets attainable store Visual goals that are aligned with Store team and district
goals by working closely with Store Management.
Responsible to provide visual teams with schedules that maximizes the need of
the business and sets time goals and follows best practices and routines
Follows up and improves visual scheduling so it maximizes the business needs
and opening hours as well as being most efficient for training in commerciality
for all staff
Uses best practices for visuals to maximize efficiency at all times
Maintains an organized and efficient Deco room and back of house
Supports in store operational routines when necessary
Customer Service
Keeps the store to the highest standard of shopping experience for the customers.
Excels in customer service within the Flagship Store
Displays a "customer comes first" attitude by ensuring training occurs and
holding staff accountable for delivering high quality H&M direct and indirect
customer service to ensure the best shopping experience for each customer and
role modeling the 5 basic demands
High School Graduate or equivalent. Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Preferably 5-7 years of H&M visual management experience or comparable
experience
Ability to lift in excess of 20 pounds
Ability to stand for long periods of time, bend, stretch, engage in repetitive
motions, push, pull and carry items (mannequins, clothing, totes, torsos, etc) for a
short distance
Ability to climb a ladder and use a step stool
