Estimating Manager

REQUIREMENTS:

• 5 years of experience in project cost estimating/project management for facility and pipeline construction projects
• Strong ability to read plot plans, iso’s, civil drawing etc.
• Ability to staff and manage up to 2 employees.
• Must have excellent communication skills, and be team-oriented.
• Bachelor of Science degree preferred (Construction Management, Construction Science,

Engineering, etc.)

• Proficient in Excel, P6, and Bluebeam
• Occasional travel
• Field experience in pipeline and facility construction is a plus

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Estimating Manager will need to be able to produce comprehensive bid packages based on job walk notes and RFQ from customers.
• Be able to lead bid reviews and provide data and cost analysis for review and presentation including but not limited to explaining the details behind each estimate, including the basis of the man-hours allocated for each task, personnel resources needed to execute each task, sub-contractors’ prices, material prices, and locations, etc.
• Work with Project Managers during project handoff and monitor project life cycle during execution.
• Provide project manager alternative project execution approaches based on the scope of work and the most cost-effective execution methods available
• Maintain meticulous cost estimating tools including databases, spreadsheets, and other computer-based applications to keep up dated information on past performance and industry standards
• A strong ability to communicate effectively between other offices, managers, project managers and clients concerning cost and estimates.
• The work schedule is 7 AM to 5 PM Monday – Friday with the understanding that this position may require working outside of normal business hours to meet management, customer and project needs. The successful candidate will work out of The Woodlands office.
• Compensation based on previous experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $130,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year

Salary : $130,000 - $160,000
