Job Posting for Accountant at H&S Manufacturing Co Inc
Summary
Manage general ledger, journal entry processing, fixed assets, account reconciliations, and variance analysis. Assist with financial reporting process and analysis. Provide support for accounts payable, accounts receivable, cost accounting, and other operational finance support as requested.
Principle Duties and Areas of Responsibility:
- Maintain chart of accounts, process journal entries, manage fixed assets, complete account reconciliations, and provide variance analysis.
- Support the Accounting Team in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing procedures and budgeting/forecasting activities as needed.
- Assist with preparing financial statements, supplementary reporting, and ad-hoc analysis as requested.
- Prioritize accuracy and data integrity of financial information in enterprise resource planning software.
- Provide back-up support of manufacturing cost accounting process, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and other operational finance support as needed.
- Assist Finance Director and Accounting Manager to implement strategic initiatives and tactical plans.
- Special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Highly skilled in accounting procedures, data analysis, and financial reporting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Comprehensive understanding of GAAP and applicable regulations
- Proficient in Microsoft office and Excel. Experience with ERP systems is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration or related field. Candidates with an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- 2 years of accounting background
