Payroll Administrator

Voigt & Schweitzer, LLC has over 100 years of experience in Hot Dip Galvanizing and we are the leader in the steel coating industry.  Today we operate over 15 galvanizing plants in the U.S. and Europe, featuring exceptional service to small fabricators as well as companies known worldwide. We are currently searching for an outstanding individual to fill our Payroll Specialist  position at our corporate office in Columbus, Ohio. Primary Functions and Responsibilities: Multi-state payroll processing. Onboard new employees. Employee file maintenance, including but not limited to – wage garnishments, child support orders, direct deposit set-up, position changes, and wage increases. Review time/attendance information and manage PTO. Adhere to scheduled deadlines for weekly and bi-weekly payroll. Follow regulatory guidelines to ensure compliance with state and federal laws. Complete tax filing requirements and year-end closure (W2). General payroll related functions Requirements and Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years relevant experience required. Associates degree or equivalent certification in payroll is a plus. Dayforce/Ceridian experience is a plus, or similar HRIS systems. Excellent interpersonal skills with a willingness and ability to work with all levels of management. Strong PC skills and must be proficient in Microsoft Word / Excel. Ability to understand and accurately apply basic math skills. Work with accuracy and attention to detail. Highly organized and able to prioritize duties efficiently.
