Position: Accounting & Purchasing Support

Position Based in Santa Clara, CA.

Accounting Support: Full time opening for a semiconductor manufacturing company.

The Accounting Support will provide financial and clerical services to ensure efficient, timely and accurate processing of customer invoices and cash/credit receipts and perform collection activities within identified goals. Ensure compliance with Company accounting policies and proper application of US GAAP. This position will also support purchasing department to handle purchase orders and planning.

Primary Job Tasks and Responsibilities

Accounting Support:

  • Review and distribute invoicing for customers
  • Resolve customer billing issues
  • Apply cash and credit receipts to customer balances
  • Maintain accounts receivable customer files
  • Maintain accounts payable vendor files
  • Maintain records of all refunds and credit memos
  • Accrued and prepaid management
  • General ledger
  • Investigate and resolve customer and vendor queries
  • Initiate collection efforts such as sending statements and contacting customers
  • Process accounts payable in a timely manner
  • Maintain electronic filing systems

Purchasing Support:

  • Responsible for procuring supplies, raw materials, tools and parts necessary for the production
  • Planning material requirements to support inventory and sourcing objectives.
  • Collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance and vendors to identify and realize improvements in quality, delivery and price is essential.
  • Negotiation skills to work with suppliers and make better deals for the company.
  • Assist with other projects as needed.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others .
  • Support team to reach common goals.
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
  • Strong attention to detail

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years AP & AR and/or purchasing experiences
  • Degree not required but strongly preferred bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Microsoft Excel
  • Willingness to learn new software
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to take initiative, self-starter
  • Strong organizational and administrative ability
  • QAD (Preferred) or other accounting system experience
  • Self-motivated and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to pass a personal background check and/or clearance at time of hire.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
