What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Accountant position at H.W. Kaufman Group?
Responsibilities
- Perform various financial reporting and analysis activities
- Preparation of monthly journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and inter-company transactions
- Analyze trends in forecast and variances to budget
- Effectively communicate financial outcomes and results of analysis performed
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and other projects, as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, public accounting background preferred
- 3 work experience required
- Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and experience in preparation of periodic financial reporting packages
- Proven ability to meet deadlines, detail-orientated
- Strong excel and analytical skills
- Insurance industry experience is not required
