THE POSITION
The Assistant Crew Leader will hold a permanent and full-time position and will work in the Gulfport, Mississippi facility operated by H2O Innovation. The main responsibilities of the candidate will be to supervise a construction crew in charge of installing a water line through the city’s water distribution system.
THE DAY-TO-DAY
- Oversee the operations according to H2O’s performance standards as well as the health and safety protocols ;
- Participate in the installation of the new water line ;
- Assist in the repaire and replacement of fire hydrants ;
- Work with inventory management to ensure adequate spare parts are available in stock when feasible ;
- Review blueprints of the new water line ;
- Operate heavy equipments when needed ;
THE SKILLS WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- High school diploma/GED
- One year of experience operating heavy equipment
- Valid driver’s license (Class B CDL is preferred)
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate efficiently the public, team members and supervisors
- Ability to perform physical tasks in various weather conditions
The successful candidate will have to pass through a background check which includes criminal background & motor vehicle report checks, as well as drug & alcohol screenings.
