Business Development Manager

 

Haag, a leader in forensic engineering and consulting since 1924, is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager who will be responsible for selling our forensic engineering and construction consulting services by generating leads and building strong client relationships within the insurance and legal industries. This role will support a large territory that may include AZ, CA, CO, MO, and MN. Although this position is remote, you should have easy access to major interstate highways and to a major airport, as this job will require heavy travel both by car and by air from your home location. Please note that although remote, this position will be based in either Greater Phoenix AZ, Greater Denver CO, St. Louis MO, or Minneapolis MN.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or commensurate work experience.
  • 5 years of successful experience selling and marketing services directly to insurance companies and law firms.
  • A book of business with a strong portfolio of clients in the western U.S. is strongly preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience working within the AEC market.
  • Working knowledge of forensic engineering and a solid understanding of the industry.
  • Working knowledge of the insurance industry and the claims process.
  • Working knowledge of the legal industry.
  • Expertise in creating and implementing successful growth strategies.
  • Ability to utilize cloud platforms for meetings, office administration, and management of multiple accounts.
  • Polished and professional B2B and B2C communication skills are expected.
  • Heavy technical expertise with Salesforce and MS Office is required,
  • Must be a Road Warrior. Extensive travel by automobile or plane will be required, and some extended travel may be necessary,
  • A valid driver’s license and the ability to drive for long distances are necessary.
  • Must be able to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Must be able to provide the utmost in customer service to internal and external clients.
  • Must not have an active non-compete agreement.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship or restrictions.
