Lead ReStore Driver

Position Overview:
The Lead ReStore Driver is responsible for supervising other ReStore Drivers. The Lead ReStore Driver manages the loading and unloading of all deliveries. They communicate with ReStore Management and Associates to coordinate donations and deliveries with donors. The Lead ReStore Driver also assist with housekeeping, maintenance, and upkeep requirements of the ReStore and warehouse areas, as well as company vehicles.

Duties and Responsibilities:
 May assist in the supervision of volunteers as needed.
 Works with ReStore Management and Associates to coordinate all delivery schedules, donations, loads and unloads.
 Communicates minor repairs needed to sold or donated merchandise to ReStore Management or Associate.
 Screens products for usability when taking donations in store or at a donation location.
 Responsible for loading and unloading deliveries and donations.
 Maintains an orderly flow of merchandise in the 2nd bay and on the sales floor.
 Organizes the sales floor as needed.
 Ensures SOLD items are moved to the 2nd bay SOLD section in a timely manner.
 Maintains safe and proper aisleways int eh ReStore and 2nd bay area.
 Takes scrap metal to the scrap yard as needed.
 Takes trash and recyclables to the recycling center and or landfill as needed.
 Fills out weekly/monthly maintenance sheets for ReStore vehicles.
 Operates Habitat for Humanity of Henderson, KY delivery trucks and maintains cleanliness of vehicles.
 Maintains fuel and maintenance of company vehicles as needed.
 May perform other duties as deemed necessary.

Requirements and Skill Set:
 Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment criminal background, credit check, drug screen and have a valid
drivers’ license with a clean driving record.

Must be able to construct household items and some furniture that will be sold in the ReStore. 
 Ability to be creative and possess problem solving skills.
 Excellent oral and written communication skills.
 Passion for approaching donors and the ability to articulate Habitat for Humanity’s mission.
 Must be willing to give and receive constructive feedback.

Education:
 High School Diploma or equivalent education or experience preferred.

Experience:
 2-years minimum of experience required, Customer Service Experience preferred.
 2-years prior experience in a driver or delivery type role preferred.

Working Conditions:
 Part-Time: 8 - 5 Tuesday & Wednesday & 10 - 4 on Saturday (May be eligible for shift premiums on Saturdays); may require extra hours/weekend work if needed. 
 This position operates in an open, warehouse/retail environment.
 The position requires standing, walking, bending, and occasionally kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling,
& climbing. Occasionally, the employee may lift, move, and/or load items up to 75 pounds with mechanical
assistance and/or a team lift
