Job Posting for Senior Manager - Grassroots Engagement at Hadassah Women's Zionist
The Senior Manager, Grassroots Engagement is responsible for the oversight and implementation of a grassroots engagement strategy for the four regions that make up Hadassah Mid-Atlantic. They will work with local volunteer leaders to raise grassroots fundraising levels, engage current Hadassah members in both local and national activities, and build outreach programs to increase membership and philanthropy for the Mid-Atlantic Geographic Area and Regions.
Duties and Responsibilities
Works closely with managing director and region presidents to create metrics for events around grassroots giving and membership and developing programs and initiatives for the annual plans. Assist Managing Director to coordinate advocacy activities.
Provide philanthropy training in local communities as needed. Identify additional training opportunities and best training tools across the geographic area.
Identify opportunities to provide Hadassah programming to engage current and potential members, while partnering with local volunteers to run the programs and identify opportunities for collaboration across areas.
Partner with Philanthropy to advance grassroots fundraising engagement.
Build a strong working relationship with Annual Giving officer (s) assigned to the Geographic Area to encourage the practice of annual giving.
Liaises with the Development Division to identify, steward and assist with gifts over $5000 from donors in the Mid-Atlantic Region. Identify opportunities for donor engagement through local activities and events.
Assist with maintaining event accurate records for events in CRM (Salesforce).
Participate in preparing event evaluation with Managing Director, Region/Chapter president
Work with the marketing staff and other team members in the geographic area to ensure that materials created maintain a consistent and professional esthetic while adhering to organization-wide branding guidelines.
Assistant with building visibility and credibility of Hadassah in the community by identifying Jewish and non-Jewish organizations to develop relationships and build coalitions with.
Required Knowledge, Education, Experience
BA and 5-7 years relevant work experience
Must have strong computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom, Salesforce experience a plus
Understand budgets and basic financial statements
Experience with grassroots fundraising techniques
Required Skills
Experience and knowledge of a membership organization and/or charitable organization
Strong interpersonal skills - work successfully with staff and volunteers
Strong oral and written communication skills
Attention to detail
Ability to travel (up to 20% of the time)

Adept at managing multiple projects at a given time
