ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties/responsibilities may be assigned)
- Coordinate all floor production processes with the objectives of Quality, Safety, Schedule and Cost.
- Align efforts and influence scheduling with consult of production Scheduler and AC70 warehouse Manager.
- Analyze the flow of materials and storage of inventory on the shop floor.
- Evaluate equipment needs in support of production processing.
- Manage production daily schedule.
- Ensure production staff has optimal cross training so daily shifting is possible to align with the daily needs.
- Meet daily with working cell leaders to shift workforce to match schedule and adjust for absenteeism.
- Adjust staffing to support current and future schedule demands including overtime and temp labor.
- Work directly with AC70 warehouse to ensure even flow of goods required for job completion.
- Communicate BOM and routing discrepancies in need of Item maintenance adjustments.
- Oversee regular 5s and Kaizen events.
- Interview and screen employment candidates.
METRICS
- Performance on time completed orders.
- Cost per labor hour performance.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Analytical Skills: You will be working with multiple production lines to determine and evaluate the many pros and cons of each, based on analysis, quality, speed of delivery and other factors.
- Math Skills: Basic math skills will be needed to analyze manufacturing and get the best efficiency possible.
- Flexibility to evolve with shifting priorities.
- Work Environment: Ability to handle multiple tasks, work either independently or in a team environment and be detail-oriented.
- Computer Skills: Microsoft Excel skills are required, with advanced Excel skills a plus. Experience within SAP is desired.
- Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to deal effectively with people of varying responsibilities.
- Travel: Must be able to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor of science degree - Engineering Preferred
- 3-5 years Manufacturing management experience
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Ability to read and interpret procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees or managers in Hafele.
REASONING ABILITY
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Multiple machine cutting stations.
- Automated packaging equipment
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Most days will have a combination of meeting participation or facilitation. Interaction with production staff for status reporting and training assistance.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee:
o Is required to sit and use a computer for long periods of time.
o Is required to walk between multiple facilities outside.
o Is required to climb stairs.
o Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
o Is required to talk or hear.
o Must have close and color vision capabilities.
