Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team. As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the maintenance operations of two apartment communities. This is a critical role that requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to effectively manage a team.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the maintenance team
- Develop and implement maintenance procedures and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to identify maintenance needs
- Plan and schedule maintenance work to minimize downtime and maximize productivity
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions, utilizing knowledge of logic controllers, schematics, and low voltage systems
- Manage inventory of spare parts and equipment
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Train and mentor maintenance staff on best practices and safety protocols
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and timely completion of maintenance tasks
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in multifamily/apartment maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of high voltage systems, machinery, and mechanical systems
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions under pressure
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Ability to effectively manage a team, delegate tasks, and prioritize workload
