SUMMARY STATEMENT
The Junior System Analyst remains current, recommends, and is responsible for all Information Systems programming and monitoring tools; trains Information Technology staff in use of tools, serves as database administrator; serves as integration specialist for incorporating acquired software into the Information System; maintains tool library of documentation and programs. The Junior System Analyst will understand and coach other staff in the use of local IS systems.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
A. The Junior System Analyst reports directly and is responsible to the IT Manager.
B. The position does not require the supervision of other personnel.
C. The Junior System Analyst coordinates closely with all areas of the College that request central system services, support, and training.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
A. Performs new application analysis, design, and programming, maintenance programming and program analysis.
B. Remains current, recommends, and is responsible for all Information Systems programming and monitoring tools.
C. Trains campus staff in use of Colleague and related tools.
D. Works with the College community to assist in converting paper forms to electronic.
E. Serves as part of the integration team for incorporating acquired software into Colleague.
F. Works with users to implement new projects.
G. Maintains system tools and library of documentation and programs.
H. Coaches other staff in the use of multiple systems.
I. Provides technical and operational assistance to the IT staff and, through Help Desk referrals, the entire College community.
