As a Workforce Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day fulfillment and optimization of hourly labor resources to achieve maximum operational throughput for production and support operations. Labor resources include planned and unplanned, GE Appliances and supplemental or temporary, as well as direct and indirect labor. Position Workforce Coordinator Location USA, Decatur, AL How You'll Create Possibilities Collaborate with operational leaders on department headcount needs based on business objectives and operational plans, including GEA and temporary labor for optimal resource utilization. Conduct workforce analysis to identify gaps or surpluses and develop steps/actions to resolve and/or optimize resources as quickly as possible. Drive implementation of projects and actions to address/resolve hourly labor and staffing issues. Coordinate with company recruiter and staffing agencies to ensure the distribution of labor is provided for an appropriate balance of resources across the organization. Work closely with operational leaders and team leaders to understand labor requirements, both short and long-term needs, and regular and contingent labor. Coordinate with HR and staffing agencies to ensure accurate and up-to-date data to maintain labor and staffing information and accuracy. Collect and analyze workforce data, generating reports and insights to support decision-making as well as to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement in workforce utilization. Evaluate, develop, and maintain work schedules, skills, and operational requirements to efficiently manage and allocate resources to cover employee absenteeism and open jobs as necessary. Support operational leaders in monitoring temporary workers’ performance and providing feedback to staffing agencies for assistance with performance improvement feedback. Collaborate with staffing agencies and HR to address any performance-related issues as needed. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment by assisting and coordinating employee engagement events and activities. What You'll Bring to Our Team Job Qualifications: Associate’s degree in business, human resources, or operations management. At least one year experience in human resources, workforce development or leadership in a manufacturing environment, and/or educational equivalent. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience in collaborating with cross-functional groups to find mutual agreement, compromise and shared results. Must have the ability to influence and collaborate to effectively reach mutually agreed-upon outcomes. Above average skills in gathering, tracking and analyzing data utilizing Excel. Solid computer skills, including MS Office. Preferred Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources or operations. Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
