Halifax Health is seeking a Laundry Aide for the Laundry/Linen Department.
Summary
This individual will feed various laundry equipment to process hospital linens. Hand folds linen items.
Job Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent highly preferred
Ability to follow directions
On the job training provided
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Inserts and/or feeds sheets, spreads and other linen into folding machines.
Separates small items from sheets, blankets and spreads and sorts by types of items.
Hand folds gowns, blankets, pillow cases, towels, baby linen, Operating Room uniforms and linen.
Stacks linen that comes from folding machine into bulk carts.
Operates folding machine, irons, etc.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
