Halifax Health is seeking a Financial Analyst II for the Finance Department.
Summary:
The Financial Analyst II is responsible for providing financial and data analysis for multiple projects and administrative support to the Manager of Corporate Finance and the Corporate Finance department.
Job Qualifications:
- Formal Education: B.S. or B.A. degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Experience with Kronos, Allscripts EPSi, Meditech, and other computer-based decision support systems preferred.
- 2-3 years of financial/data analysis experience, healthcare or in a corporate environment strongly preferred.
- Ability to handle large volume of diversified work and meet deadlines.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to analyze and prepare financial schedules and reports; ability to prepare oral and written reports; work with general supervision and follow directions.

- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks in a timely manner
- Experience with electronic calendaring (Outlook)
- Assists with month-end/ad hoc financial and statistical reports and analyses utilizing the Allscripts EPSi Financial Decision Support System.
- Performs various administrative duties such as scheduling meetings/calendar management, purchasing office supplies and managing vendor contracts/invoices.
- Assists with real estate lease management routine tasks and responsibilities.
- Maintains Allscripts EPSi security module for department access for leadership team.
- Maintains financial databases of the Allscripts EPSi system on a recurring basis.
- Assists with updating financial presentation for meetings.
- Assists with the data maintenance of the Health System’s financial benchmarking system
- Generates regular or special reports and/or statistics after collecting and organizing data.
- Assists with managing major department projects such as the development of the annual operating budget, annual capital budget and annual external audit.
- Performs related responsibilities as required.
