Position: Community Fundraising Manager, Hall Hunger Initiative. Flexible schedule with some remote work possibility, 20-25 hours per week, $30/hour. The position is funded for one year with the potential for renewal.
Purpose: This position will support fundraising/development efforts with Hall Hunger Initiative (HHI) as well as lead HHI’s efforts to strengthen our non-profit partners by providing direct guidance, support, and expertise. The work will have a strong focus on building partnerships, including developing joint fundraising opportunities. Working with the HHI Director, this position will have the leadership role for communication, outreach, coordination and direct assistance with partner agencies. This is a new project presenting an exciting opportunity to create and lead a meaningful community project. This position will be provided a written Scope of Work upon hiring to which the ideal candidate will follow.

Key Position Duties And Responsibilities
● In accordance with the provided Scope of Work, meet with key stakeholders, including
funders, potential donors and small nonprofits to better understand the regional food
system needs.
● Conduct grant research in identified target areas with national foundations, corporate
and government funders not currently supporting groups in our community, including
securing calls and meetings with top prospects, securing invitations to apply for grants,
connecting with relevant local partners and assisting in drafting and submitting
applications.
● Work to identify potential new individual donors and connect them with relevant
partners.
● Assist small non-profits in building organizational capacity, including strengthening board
participation, development planning and marketing.
● Represent HHI at community events, meetings, and conferences.
● Produce special and virtual events to recruit new supporters, strengthen relationships
with existing donors and funders, and develop awareness while raising funds.
● Developing fundraising materials and assets that can be used by all partner
organizations.
● Other activities as identified by partners and/or HHI.
Required Competencies:

Required Qualifications:
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in related discipline preferred but not required
EXPERIENCE: A minimum of 4 years in human service, nonprofit, public service, volunteer
or business management experience with extensive, demonstrable, development success
required.
