Overview
Under the direction of the Youth Activities Manager and Director of Recreation, Hallbrook Country Club is seeking an enthusiastic individual with a passion for working with children to staff our childcare facility.
The Childcare Attendant provides a safe and engaging environment for young children and exceptional customer service to our members.
HCC offers childcare options for parents who participate in fitness, tennis, and other club sponsored activities.
Responsibilities
- Engage / Lead children in age-appropriate developmental, sensory, and active play
- Follow all policies and programming outlines to ensure safe, age-appropriate activities
- Greet children and parents, ensure proper check-in and check-out including communicating appropriate information upon pick-up
- Complete daily cleaning of toys and area
- Adhere to all staff guidelines during shift
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the department
- Maintain a positive work environment with staff, children, and parents
- Be dependable, punctual, and reliable with attendance
- Assist with operations at the Recreation Front Desk as needed
- Greet all members entering the facility
- Follows Rec Centers policies and guidelines pertaining to fitness center rules, membership retention, and cross selling other programs to those using the fitness center.
- Give equipment orientations to those that request or those that are new.
- Monitor equipment for proper use at all times. Report any maintenance needs or equipment issues to supervisor immediately.
- Cleans fitness center and equipment thoroughly each shift.
- Effective communication skills with the members, supervisors, and co-workers.
- Assist with other duties as assigned
- Barista - Coffee and Smoothie Beverages
- Bartender - Alcoholic beverages
- Assist with childcare operations during family or social events
Requirements :
- Must be available Monday - Friday from 7 : 45a.m. until 12 : 15p.m.
- 18 years of age or older
- Previous experience working with children in a group setting is preferred
- Able to take direction and lead activities
- Creative, organized, and detail oriented
- Excellent outgoing and engaging personality
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic knowledge of computer applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- The ability to demonstrate a friendly, courteous and professional manner while working with members
- CPR / AED and First Aid Certification, or able to certify within 90 days of employment
- Must be able to stand for prolonged periods.
- Must be able to walk frequently; must be able to use hands and fingers to operate, handle, and use controls, tools, and general office / rec / tennis equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- This position may require an individual to work holidays and weekends
