Description
BASIC FUNCTION:
Cleans the disher and pots and ensures that they are placed in their proper places so they will remain clean.
SCOPE:
Makes sure each department is sufficiently supplied with enough clean dishes for the department to function.
WORK PERFORMED:
- Racks, washes and puts away dishes.
- Washes and puts away pots and pans. Cleans whatever is necessary as directed by supervisor.
- Cleans big mixers, slicers and choppers following safety procedures.
- Sweeps and mops out the refrigerator walk-ins.
- Performs any task that is asked, such as helping cooks, providing own duties are completed.
- Burnishes the silverware.
- Maintains the work area in a clean and orderly manner.
- Night dishwashers mop the dish and pot areas.
- Maintains dish machines, cleaning inside and out.
- Brings up dishes from the employee's cafeteria.
- Other duties as assigned by Executive Chef, Sous Chef and/or Kitchen Steward.
