Are you a seasoned food service manager looking for an exciting career in campus contract food service management?
Dining Services Directors lead the on-site management and hourly team in achieving the site's operational and financial plan per HMS standards and programs focused on client satisfaction. This role is responsible for consistent engagement with client though regular communication to highlight achievements, ongoing account development and works to ensure that client expectations are met continuously throughout our programs. The Director oversees the personnel management on site and works to hire, retain, and manage hourly staff in both residential dining and retail establishments in accordance with HMS policy. Dining Services Directors must have a strong understanding of the financial management of the unit and work to maintain appropriate financial management within our systems. Directors are responsible for the oversight and management of all other managers and supervisors assigned to the location to ensure the quality and strength of all aspects of the program.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Duties & Responsibilities
- Manages all aspects of the on-site client relationship and supports the relationship between dining services and all departments at the college
- Works in conjunction with management team in creating and executing compelling catering events
- Train, mentor and develop staff members so that they can progress in their career
- Manage our base labor plan and ensure labor is managed to budget
- Works to ensure all responsibilities of subordinate management team are adhered to including production management, purchasing, catering planning and execution, retail operations, and the associated financial deliverables
- Maintains a standard of extraordinary food quality and customer service
- Leverage our organizational standards, processes, and tools to effectively manage our units within company benchmarks and standards
- Maintains technical skills and industry knowledge
- Participates in the creative process of company-wide development
- Supports and promotes safety of our team
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of food service management experience
- High school Diploma
- Hospitality/Business Management College Degree/experience is valued
- Servsafe Certified
SALARY: $60-65K/Year
