Description

Summary

Hallmark Media is looking for an AV Administrator in theStudio City, CA officeto support our company's fleet of conference rooms, in-house theatre, local, and remotely hosted meetings.

The AV Administrator is responsible for end-to-end troubleshooting, assessment, and resolution of issues related to our Audio/Visual system(s). They will also provide meeting and event support, preventative maintenance, and end-user training. They will adapt as needed to a variety of roles such as: administrator, engineer, meeting facilitator, educator, coach, and documenter. This role is a user-facing representative and must possess excellent customer service skills, a strong technical aptitude, and an ability to diagnose and solve complex problems independently.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional AV service and meeting support to Hallmark Media across the enterprise
  • Manage and maintain AV equipment and systems for conference rooms, in-house theatre, and meetings
  • Track and maintain all assets in CMDB, both software and hardware installed in all rooms, and develop process and procedures for routine health checks, product lifecycle, and product improvement schedules and recommendations
  • Provide end-to-end troubleshooting and resolution of complex technical issues related to AV systems both inside the office and remote (audio systems, video systems, networks, control systems, end user computer etc.)
  • Engage and collaborate with key stakeholders, 3rd party A/V Consultants, and across IT, to continuously improve systems and service, and resolve complex technical issues that may require new upgrades and overhauls
  • Assistance, coordination, and support of high priority and sensitive meetings/events/townhalls that involve the use of media, scripted content/presentations, speakers, discussion panels and audience participation
  • Mentor and assist departmental representatives and other technical support staff with use cases and troubleshooting of less complicated issues
  • Manage AV inventory and coordinate repairs and maintenance, including routine maintenance processes/procedures and execute plans both independently and in partnership with 3rd party A/V Consultants per industry and manufacture best practices
  • Manage vendor relationships and contracts for A/V equipment and services, including AV budgets and expenses
  • Ensure compliance with security and data privacy policies
  • Create and deliver reports on A/V system performance and usage
  • Maintain ticket queues and be responsible for service level agreements
  • Provide and conduct organized and continuous user training to help drive the company's adoption of AV and remote video conferencing technology
  • Develop, implement, and maintain AV policies, procedures, and standards
  • Create and maintain documentation and user manuals and runbooks for use cases for all rooms
  • Travel to other Hallmark Media offices and technology conferences may be required
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by IT Management
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 3 years of relevant experience in Audio/Video engineering and support
  • Proven expertise in design, support, and maintenance of AV systems
  • Proven experience in troubleshooting complex AV systems
  • Experience in the setup and operation of live events, including but not limited to: a) In- room and conferencing setup and technology management; b) Scripted switching and management of content and presentation media; c) Onsite coordination with event stakeholders for management of run of show and event success
  • Ability to articulate technical ideas and issues to a non-technical audience
  • Experience with cloud-based service providers and virtual meetings (i.e., Zoom, Microsoft Teams, etc.)
  • Literacy in Windows and Mac operating systems
  • Proficient in understanding networks, network diagrams, network protocols and other IT concepts
  • Ability to read & update technical drawings/schematics
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Must possess strong organizational, efficient, and detail-oriented skill sets
  • Strong customer service experience

Other Requirements

  • Ability to remain adaptable and patient with colleagues, in order to effectively accomplish the task at hand
  • Strong experience in Crestron hardware, Crestron Fusion, and Biamp preferred
  • Experience with AV-related programming languages & methodologies a plus
  • Strong desire to continuously develop and improve technical skills, learn new technologies and tools, and to teach others
  • Creative thinker
  • Willingness to occasionally work outside of traditional business hours and respond to urgent situations when they occur
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure yet act with a sense of urgency

The hourly range for this job is between $21.73-$27.16.Hourly rate will take into consideration several factors including location.
