IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:
The Email Marketing Specialist is responsible for the creation and execution of email marketing programs in support of the Gold Crown Retail organization and other Hallmark business unit objectives. This includes the curation and ownership of the campaign through the confirmation of deployment for recurring and triggered email communications. Additionally, this individual maintains a current understanding of email marketing best practices and applies them to of our email campaigns in collaboration with the Marketing team in order to optimize business revenue & engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Building and coding email campaigns using HTML and Ampscript, database file/segment selection, and quality assurance of all outbound campaigns.
- Performing day-to-day email marketing activities including, but not limited to, email campaign set-up, scheduling, testing, tagging and deployment of one-time, recurring, triggered, and dynamic content-driven campaigns.
- Creating and deploying email and SMS campaigns to appropriate subscriber lists.
- Troubleshooting technical issues related to HTML templates, list segmentation, and other aspects of email execution, as required.
- Staying in tune with and recommending email marketing best practices with coding, design, and testing of email campaigns.
- Outputting retention marketing (email and direct mail) database file segmentations and lists, writing data file set-up and output instructions for vendors, and managing respective projects with vendors. Basic querying knowledge is recommended and will be used for mailouts to various vendors/platforms, data proofing, and customer lookups.
- Communicating with internal team members to partner and effectively to execute email campaigns.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
The following is required to be considered for this role:
- Bachelor's Degree or 4 years professional work experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience with email tools (SalesForce Marketing Cloud, Cordial, Epsilon, Cheetah Mail, and/or SilverPop)
- Experience with SalesForce Marketing Cloud email tools
- Experience with HTML
- Experience AmpScript
- Experience with SQL in SFMC
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Your resume will stand out if you have:
- Four-year college degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Advanced experience with HTML
- Advanced experience with AmpScript
- Intermediate knowledge of SQL (plus SQL in SFMC)
- Experience with SFMC Platform API/Data feed integration experience highly preferred
- Ability to troubleshoot coding problems
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Good understanding of database concepts and segmentation
- Ability to write database queries
- Ability and desire to learn quickly
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize a high volume of projects and tasks at one time.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction, while also functioning and contributing as part of a team
- Strong organizational skills and exemplary attention to detail.
- Passionate about the digital landscape with a desire for continuous learning, development, and advancement.
- Proactive, inquiring, and investigative mind
- Agency experience preferred
