Industrial Maintenance Specialist

Hallway Feeds, a family owned company recognized as a leader in the manufacturing and marketing of premium equine feeds and supplements, seeks candidates for an industrial maintenance specialist . This position is located at our manufacturing facility and warehouse in Lexington, Kentucky. Job Responsibilities:

Repair and Maintain Plant Equipment: Perform repairs and maintenance throughout the plant including bearing replacement, conveyor belt repair, gearbox replacement, and motor replacement. Also, perform cutting and grinding.

Inspect Equipment and Structures: Perform daily inspections and maintenance of the plant equipment in order to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operations to maximize production and minimize interruptions.

Document and Record Information: Enter and maintain service and lubrication reports regarding the plant equipment used to ensure preventative maintenance is up to date.

Perform General Physical Activities: Perform a variety of tasks that assist with the operation of the plant, including cleaning, washing, sweeping, and shoveling materials.

Skills You’ll Need:

Experience: Previous experience in the industrial maintenance area is preferred.

Knowledge of Best Practices: Knowledge of general principles and practices of industrial maintenance.

Flexibility: While the vast majority of the work will be done from 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday, some work will need to be done at night or on the weekends. Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions and tolerate being exposed to loud noises.

Mechanical Skills: Must have extensive knowledge of industrial tools, their uses, and maintenance.
