Position Summary:
The Sanitation Worker is responsible for incidental cleaning and sanitation maintenance of production areas throughout the assigned shift for safe food production.

Essential Functions:
Follow standard sanitation operating procedure guidelines as they refer to proper cleaning and sanitation of all equipment for this position.
Follow company GMP's and employee safety work methods
Must be able to read English to follow instructions for chemical usage and cleaning specifications as set by the company.
Ability to use cleaning and sanitizing chemicals and high pressure and low-pressure water hoses.
Perform machine breakdown for cleaning purposes; disassemble and reassemble production equipment
Manually clean, rinse, foam, scrub and sanitize production equipment, clean in place equipment (CIP) ensuring that all areas meet sanitation requirements
Complete daily documentation (checklists) accurately
Report any sanitation concerns to supervisor
Report any food safety or equipment damage concerns to supervisor
Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
Must have working knowledge of production equipment.
Demonstrated ability to portion all boneless cuts of meat in an accurate and timely manner.
Ability to reduce processing costs but cutting and sizing portions accurately with good yields as well as meeting customer specs.
Ability to problem solve in terms of trimming and product substitutions.
Ability to work in a fast paced, high pressure, challenging environment
Must be a team player and possess a positive attitude.
Ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally, in English.
Must demonstrate the ability to understand the Meat Buyer's Guide specifications as they relate to the company's internal product specifications.
Follows company's Quality Control procedures.
