Our Client, a global manufacturer of commercial and industrial desiccant dehumidifiers is seeking a Controller who will primarily be responsible for the Accounting and Finance functions in support of the full range of business activities for our client. Responsibilities include financial reporting, supporting strategic and operational reporting, internal controls, budgeting, forecasting and business analysis. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to transition to a more strategic position in Finance and Accounting but someone who still loves to be hands-on as well. Who are you?
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting and bring 5 years of hands-on experience. This person will support the General Manager directly and work with global teams for reporting and collaborative Accounting and reporting.
Job Requirements
- Provide timely, accurate Accounting and Finance reporting for support for strategic and operational decision-making for a growing business
- Responsible for all month-end closing, end-of-year reporting and year-end close, and daily operational accounting
- Maintains financial systems and works with staff and leadership to ensure financial processes, systems, and reporting are in place to support the achievement of organizational goals. Identify and implement opportunities to achieve more effective and efficient operations.
- Work with international teams for reporting and financial collaboration for quarterly and annual reporting
- Work with General Manager to support Human Resources functions as well including keeping HR files, onboarding and compliance and timekeeping as well as benefits administration
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business with a concentration in Finance/Accounting
- 4 years of progressive Accounting experience
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with divisional and corporate functions and outside vendors including banks, insurance companies, suppliers etc.
- Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- CPA, CMA or MBA preferred
- Strong skills in problem solving and critical thinking
- Driven and self-motivated
- Proven interpersonal and communication skills, including effectively influencing and coaching
- Strong teaming and leadership skills, ability to work with diverse teams, multiple organizational
